MobileCare™ Up and Running

All the Help You Need to Get Your Mobile Computing System Deployed in One Easy-to-Order Bundle

Getting your mobile worker up and running with a new device involves quite a few steps.  Every organization is faced with the challenge of going through these steps every time they deploy mobile computing. They find themselves having to answer questions like:

Is this the correct device and is it configured how I want it?

Is the operating system correctly configured?

Is the mobile software the correct version and is it properly loaded?

Do I know this works on the wireless carrier network?

Is the battery charged and the battery charger ready to go?

This can be a time consuming and costly process, and if you haven’t done it before, it can be risky as well.  There is no guarantee that everything will work as intended when a new user opens the box, removes their device and powers it up.

There is a better alternative. When you order DecisionPoint’s MobileCare™ Up and Running service bundle, you get all the help you need to make sure your mobile computing deployment is a success, right out-of-the-box.

Deply your mobile computing system in one easy to order bundleWith MobileCare™ Up and Running, all of this is taken care of by DecisionPoint before each mobile device is shipped, ensuring a positive user experience.  And that’s not all. Up and Running includes 90 days of support so not only will your user have a great first experience, but they will be covered during the most critical time in any project—the first 90 days of operation.

MobileCare™ Up and Running Features

MobileCare™ Up and Running is a bundled set of MobileCare™ Services that have been carefully selected to ensure a positive initial user experience as well as provide ongoing support through the first 90 days of the project.  These bundled services include:

Project Management

All Up and Running projects are assigned a PMP certified project manager that has ultimate responsibility and authority to ensure that all the tasks required to complete the project are identified and completed on time.

“Gold Image” Development

The purpose of the Gold Image is to ensure that all devices have the same level of operating system, application and configuration settings.  The creation of a Gold Image not only benefits the initial rollout but is also used to ensure that repaired devices and future new device purchases are deployed in a consistent state.

Provisioning

Provisioning ensures each device is configured correctly for your applicationProvisioning involves all aspects of taking a new piece of equipment from the default factory settings and configuring it for its intended purpose.  DecisionPoint will ensure that the equipment has the correct and approved operating system, load the software application(s) or Gold Image, configure all custom settings, activate the device on a carrier mobile network and attach customer specified labeling (if applicable).

Kitting

Kitting is the process of assembling multiple pieces of equipment for each location into a single shipment to ensure the installation team will be able to perform in an effective and efficient manner. After the kitting process, the final shipment will include a packing list of all equipment, documentation and special labeling required to support the installation and is shipped in packaging materials that ensure safe and cost-effective transit to the destination.

90 Day Technical Phone Support (standard hours)

Expert technical support to keep your workforce productiveDecisionPoint recognizes that the first 90 days of a project not only present the highest risk period, but also may set the perception (success or failure) for years to come.  For this reason, DecisionPoint has included 90 days of technical support into our Up and Running offering.  90 Day Technical Support provides 1-800 and email support for wireless networks, mobile devices and applications.

Remote Device Management

Mobile Device Management allows DecisionPoint to remotely “manage” (troubleshoot, configure, and perform software updates) on a mobile device.  Mobile Device Management also includes the ability for a DecisionPoint support associate to remotely troubleshoot devices and “fix” issues remotely instead of sending mobile devices in for service.

90 Day Express Depot

Businesses dependent on mobile computers can’t afford downtime waiting on units to be repaired.  With MobileCare™ Express Depot, there is no need to worry about downtime and inefficiency.  Managing your device spare pool with our mobile computer expertise, DecisionPoint can easily keep your business on track.  MobileCare™ Express Depot provides same day shipment of a replacement device that will be:
